The main difference on the Gen 5 is that it features more rounded edges on the front, making it easier to holster and magazine changing is also easier with a thumb cut out at the lower front of the Pistol Grip. There is also the addition of  an ambidextrous Slide Release, which is great news for Left Handed fans of this platform.

Honest/real E&C glock 45 review

New to this, but my third GBB pistol (also have the E&C 19X, the latest Golden Eagle Glock 17 gen5), this one shoots the best out of the box. Easy to load and gas. Fairly straight & consistent at a fair enough range, reliable and solid feel in it's operation. Unsure of the long term build quality. No hop-up, but seems to be more reliable, straighter and consistent than the GE 17 gen5 I have that does. Maybe hop-up's just complicate things? Good buy, if you had to get just one that works well and usable in a little shoot out, this'd be it. Great value/performance I think. Could be a five star but not sure if there's better, so I'll leave it open for now.

Excellent GBB pistol at this price

Not just because I managed to secure it at a huge discount, but this thing just goes.

All my other pistols practically require lab analysis and peer reviewed studies in order to find the best gel performance. This E&C pistol (and the G19x I also own) will shoot anything. My most reliable pistol under $400.

Did come with a defective trigger spring, but I ain't no scrub, so popped a new one in and off I went. No reason to lower from 5 stars. Great small business with some of the best options out there!
